Writing as Jo(e) is a lovely and deservedly popular blog that I’ve just discovered. Her account of a trip to the mountains with her women friends make me want a similar experience, as does this entry about her regular trips to a monastery .
Penguin Unearthed, an Australian blogger, watched the same documentary on childhood that I did last week, and has some interesting thoughts on varieties of work-life balance within workplaces.
Possible Water writes about the Jesuit practice of examen, which is also the basis of the blog Living on Both Ends - it sounds like a lovely practice , and something I would like to adopt, in some form.
The Urban Abbess writes a beautiful blog centered around religion and her family.
Six Ten Pine, a hilarious and gifted writer, has resurfaced (hoorah!) at Secondhand Gods, and has just moved into a new house (and therefore a new neighbourhood).
Persephone’s Box is a really fabulous feminist blog about all sorts of interesting things - her thoughts on virginity, for example, and a rite of passage she created for her daughter.

I watched that documentary also. I was going to write in my blog about how sad I felt on seeing the woman who had the disabled child. She had such an amazing attitude and it really inspired me to remember what it is important in the world.

You’re welcome, Heather Anne
I felt quite depressed by the family with the disabled child, Be-Zen, but that woman was inspirational, especially coping with her sight problems as well.
You’re welcome, Jennifer

Thank you so much for the reference…I really appreciate it and it is always humbling when someone whose work you respect seems to enjoy your own, too!
Thanks again.
