What I’m Reading

I read a lot - I keep track of what I’m reading at Goodreads - this is what I’m currently reading, and what I’ve recently read.

My count for 2007 was 173 books, almost all being checked out from the library (I prefer to borrow books rather than buy them, partly because I would have to buy too many books.  I tend to buy those books that I really love, and know I’ll want to re-read.)

As I write this, at the turn of the year, I am seeing book blogs planning what they’re going to read over the next year.  I could never be so organised.  My reading is very… well, organic, for want of a better word.  I get stuck on a particular author for a while, then I move over to something I saw recommended in the paper, then I feel like a particular genre so I’ll skip on over to that for a bit.  It’s all a little erratic, and it’s the reason I don’t have a book blog.  There’d be no theme or order to it.
